D9 Hot Cocoa Run

The D9 Ooltewah Harrison Education Foundation is hosting its first ever D9 5k Hot Cocoa Run/Walk on Saturday, November 15, 2014. Proceeds from this event will go to support the D9 mission statement and overall initiative of enriching the lives of our youth in the 5 local elementary schools in District 9. Funds will be used to support programs in the school and continue to sponsor growing events in line with this overall goal. The race will begin in Veteran’s Park and continue along the Collegedale Greenway along the Wolftever Creek. The course is designed as an “out and back”. You will receive professional, accurate chip timing which will be provided by Scenic City MultiSports. For reasons of limited space, dogs will not be allowed on the course. There will be a seeded start, which will allow runners and walkers to line up according to their projected pace – eliminating excessive passing on the Greenway. Strollers will be corralled and are welcomed to this event. This is a family friendly event and we encourage all runners and walkers and their families to participate. Prizes will go to the Overall Male and Overall Female. All registrants that complete the run/walk will receive a commemorative medal with the D9 5k Hot Cocoa Run logo and year.
